Description

A string of ritualistic murders threatens Bright Falls, a small-town community surrounded by Pacific Northwest wilderness. Saga Anderson, an accomplished FBI agent with a reputation for solving impossible cases arrives to investigate the murders. Anderson’s case spirals into a nightmare when she discovers pages of a horror story that starts to come true around her. Alan Wake, a lost writer trapped in a nightmare beyond our world, writes a dark story in an attempt to shape the reality around him and escape his prison. With a dark horror hunting him, Wake is trying to retain his sanity and beat the devil at his own game. Anderson and Wake are two heroes on two desperate journeys in two separate realities, connected at heart in ways neither of them can understand: reflecting each other, echoing each other, and affecting the worlds around them. Fueled by the horror story, supernatural darkness invades Bright Falls, corrupting the locals and threatening the loved ones of both Anderson and Wake. Light is their weapon—and their safe haven — against the darkness they face. Trapped in a sinister horror story where there are only victims and monsters, can they break out to be the heroes they need to be?

Good sequel big fan of first game and sequel was great good graphics and I enjoyed the story.

This game comes with the original alan wake, and all AW2 dlcs. Its a beautiful game with a compelling story. This game has me wanting to upgrade to upgrade a ps5pro just to experience it again in a better way.

  3. BackSeatReviewer

This is such a far superior game to the original shallow and incompetent Horror-lite feel. And while this is a departure from the original game I think it’s instead how the original game should’ve been. In my opinion at least. this is much more fun and immersive and less of that Resident Evil 4 arcade like feel the original had.
Alan Wake 2 is a bit of investigation, a bit of exploration, a lot of weird horror, and some decent shooting, all rolled inside an amazing looking game.
And as a bonus this brings a digital version of Alan Wake Remastered. So rejoice or whatever.

When I first booted up the game, the detective portions through me off, and I really started to second guess this purchase. But instead of complaining about the lack of action and this horror/walking simulator shift, I let myself get absorbed in the experience and wow. I waited specifically for the physical release to play this game and it was well worth the wait. By the end, I really enjoyed that the game focused more horror/exoloration/slow paced thrills as it gave the game time to really create a flow that I have never experienced in a game before.

Best Buy must not have an email because they could not provide me with one even though I asked multiple times. So I will provide the pictures here. It truly was not entirely their fault or maybe even their fault at all. But the game was packed in basically just a sleeve. NO bubble wrap, NO box, or any kind of cushion. I’m truly disappointed that the game came damaged the way it did. I have been issued a replacement but the principle still stands

  6. Useone

Alan wake is a gritty and dark game but that is what mak me the game so enjoyable

  7. Snaximaxi

Alan Wake 2 is an incredible game. The combat, exploration, story, and variety of segments are all top-notch and make for the best game of 2023.
