I got this monitor for $850 plus tax (on sale) and it is definitely a great value for the money. I was very worried about getting one with dead pixels or some sort of issue just from reading horror stories from people who bought Samsung products but LG has much better quality control and I have had zero issues with monitor after owning it for a couple months or so. I came from 1080p monitors and this looks amazing.

LG makes a great product here, I was gaming pc on a 70in LG tv for a long time, but i wanted something with a faster refresh rate and that was meant for gaming. This monitor is massive, screen is super crisp, works great. Button does feel a bit cheap but other than that i lovrit. The Fedex driver did drop ot when delivering but bestbuy did right by me for the mishap

Coming out of a dual Dell u3417w setup for my main PC, it took some time to get used to the smaller overall desktop space going from 2 3440×1440 to 1 5120×1440. But was well worth it. The curve is pretty insane compared to the 2 curved Dells I kept side by side. Colors are strong and vivid, but wash out a little near the edges of both sides from certain angles. Most notable if you sit too close to the monitor or don’t have it deep enough on your desk. Pretty easily solved by tweaking your desk setup. And it WILL take up the desk. Even the stand. So if you have a smaller desk, be prepared. I have a 63in desk and the monitor eats up almost entire width, leaving roughly 9in on either side if centered. The stand also eats up a good chunk of space. My plan is to connect my gaming rig to it eventually. The one big downside is I’m going to have to choose which rig gets the HDMI and which gets the DP, since there is only 1 DP on this monitor and 2 HDMI. Setup was a doozy. The monitor is awkward to carry and the box is basically useless…be sure not to grab the box from the “grab” openings…the cardboard will rip right off like it did for the delivery guy and me when I brought it into the house. It’s deceptively heavy even after unboxing. Just give yourself time if moving to a different floor, or you WILL hit a wall (don’t ask me how I know this lol). Sorry for the wall of text, the BB app on iPad has no “return” button for nice paragraphs lol

Completely satisfied with this purchase! Gaming experience is immersive, cooled are bright, image is unexpectedly vivid and clear for a non OLED dispay. I was such between this and an OLED model, and i went with this because i thought of some other things i could do with The money saved. I am 100% confident that I made the right choice.

This LG monitor cannot show the images fullscreen on my Macbook Pro. When the setting is set to full screen the images and texts are distorted.
To be able to see images and text without distortions it has to be set to use 2/3 of the screen.
I contacted LG support and no one could help me resolve this.
The only reason I kept the monitor is because I use another computer at the same time and I connect it to the monitor and use the 1/3 that is unusable from my Macbook.
I definitely would not recommend this monitor if you use a Macbook.
