Good game kind of like a GTA for Star Wars no complaints so far!

This game has been surprisingly good for my pleasure, glad i took a chance on this and got this when i did because listening to the internets opinion shows me that i would’ve missed out on this opportunity.

I constantly hear commentators say that this is a bad game but as long as you give it a try, you might just be surprised.,

I’m playing the game and absolutely love it. As a long time Star Wars fan this game hit right at home. Highly recommend

This is a refreshing take in terms of a Star Wars game. As much as I love using force powers and swinging around a lightsaber, exploring the underworld of Star Wars with nary a rare mention of Jedi and/or Sith besides *REDACTED SPOILER PLAY TO FIND OUT* was a great premise for this title. However, there were a few noticeable bumps that keep me from giving it the full rating.
    Pros:
    – For an open world game, the maps were right in the sweet spot in terms of size and how “alive” they felt. They didn’t feel like wide swaths of just point A to point B eye candy or felt like they were filled of repetitive encounters. They also look gorgeous in 4k.

    – Both the speeder travel and starship/dogfight mechanics were fluid and made traversal of both planet and space fast paced.
    – Gunplay with your blaster is varied and a bevy of unlock options allow you to set how you want to shoot first.
    – The performances are great, Kay Vess and ND-5 in particular.
    – The criminal syndicates you work for have their own goals and aesthetics, which add color and vibrancy to the world. Add in the Rebels and Empire inbetween Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and you have a wide variety of characters to interact with.
    – Nix. Your little friend is a great companion. Never in your way nor does his AI distract from the gameplay experience, in fact, it often enhances it. Plus, LOOK AT HIM. You can hear Disney executives chuckling maniacally over how much money another cuddly sidekick is going to make them in plushies alone.
    – The fact that I can enjoy a large amount of this game without being hawked endless DLC with additional cost, IN A UBISOFT GAME.
    50/50
    – The story, neither a pro nor a con, mainly because it feels clunky at times, but ultimately not a huge detractor from the overall experience.
    Cons
    – The facial animations out of cutscenes range from very good to “ok their mouth flaps don’t even match”
    – The syndicates basically have the same fighting styles with different skins, which in hour 50 kinda makes gunfights ho-hum save a few different “heavy” enemies and the death troopers.
    – The syndicate missions also get very repetitive, and outside of the main story, expert missions, and intel side missions feel stale. Unless you need reputation or credits, they are easy to look over.
    – Even though it is not thrown in my face to purchase, Ubisoft still could not resist hiding a lot of content behind a $50 season pass. At least it isn’t as flagrant or as tedious as what they have turned Assassin’s Creed into, but we might have to thank Disney allowing them to make a Star Wars game for that.
Overall, this is a great little game to pick up and play through to experience a galaxy far far away from outside the moral shakesperian epic of the light and dark side of the force. It is just fun to play a soundrel who is out for the next big score in a galaxy at war.

The game is a beautiful massive open world in the Star Wars universe and full of things to do. I would have liked to have been given the option of male or female character, but regardless the game is still a great game.

I haven’t seen everything in the game yet, but in my 20+ hours of playtime I can say it’s a good game. If you’re someone who loves star wars, this game could fit well with you. They’ve put such an amount of detail in the exploration, the references they leave that fans will love, and the small detail is incredible. The reputation system is cool to manage with the syndicates, as they all offer you advantages and disadvantages depending on your reputation. I do wish there were more roleplay actions you’d be able to do such as, ordering a drink at a cantina. The game does have its problems with its bugs and glitches. You will notice some texture problems with the quality randomly decreasing, or I something game breakinf like going through the map. Though that’s only happened once for me. Overall, a fun game star wars fans can enjoy with some problems that I hope will be fixed in future updates.
