This is a fantastic game overall as a first full feature outing from Shift Up. This game is much easier Dark Souls/Sekiro like game with some NieR elements and a dash of Bayonetta/Devil May Cry thrown in. The story and characters may be a little bland, but the graphics, atmosphere, music, boss battles, and game combat systems more than make up for what is lacking. You also get a neat reversible cover art option which is nice to see in this day and age.

Stellar game! From the combat, visuals, story, world building, cosmetic options, and more, Stellar blade is an amazing experience on PS5.

Stellar Blade is an extremely fun sci-fi hack and slash title that knows what it is and does its very best to be that. While not perfect, it is the closest I’ve played to a successor of games like Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Devil May Cry 5, especially in this day and age where Dark Souls clones have been the norm (and I’ll also stress that Stellar Blade is not a Souls-like, as it only borrows one or two aspects of that style of game but not much). Eve is a very cool character to play as and the amount of bonus outfits she has gives the game plenty of replay value that has been lacking for years in many other similar titles. If you liked Nier: Automata, you’ll like this game too.

One of my all time favorites now. At first I thought it was gonna be a glammed up copy of Nier Automata but I was joyously wrong. This game has a story in which I wanted and craved more of the lore and although combat can be slightly repetitive at times it didn’t deter me enough from playing through 3 times for the endings and platinum trophy. I really like this game and can’t wait for some dlc and hope a sequel is in the works. I definitely recommend Stellar blade.

Extremely fun action adventure game. Amazing soundtrack, art direction, area design, and combat. The voice acting and story telling is the only thing i can be negative about with this game so far. The whole Sony censoring the game with a day one update is bizarre as well but it honestly doesn’t take away from everything that makes this game truly great.

This game is awesome! It does feel like a PS2 style action game made today with a modern graphics engine. Its a little souls like but with a control sceme that feels more responsive. Not quite Bayonetta/Devil May Cry/Devil May Cry but close enough for me to feel like the controls are doing what I want. Translation is a little odd so sometimes the diolague is steange but that to me just adds charm. Balanced mode is the way to go. Barely dips below 60fps and enjoys better visuals. Digital Foundry had a great breakdown showing the pros and cons of the graphics options if you want to know more. Reversable cover is gorgeous!

I HIGHLY recommend this game. A friend of mine was waiting until this title went on sale, however I was so excited for her to play, I decided to gift it to her. It has beautiful visuals, a great soundtrack, the controls are easy to use and understand. The replay value is high. I’ve lost count on the amount of times I’ve played through this game.

Have been really enjoying the game so far. Beautiful graphics and soundtrack. So shameful that Sony could not help themselves censoring this game and them basically forcing you to have to delete and re download the game to dodge the patches on disc, but hey got to do what you have to, to try and enjoy art not tampered with by publishers. Once this drops on PC modders will just undo all of their worthless tampering with the outfits.
