Description
The Sunpak Gripper can securely wrap around almost any suitable object to give photos and videos a fresh new perspective when using a compact camera, smartphone or GoPro. It can be attached to a pole, railing, chair, fence or tree branch. Its foam-covered legs with aluminum core will not slip when properly wrapped around most smooth, dry surfaces.

I enjoy this a lot.
Things I like:
I can change angles and move the legs around. I can take the top off and place it on an actual tripod.
Easy to store and travel with.
Dislikes:
Phone is very hard to secure at times. I have had it pop out multiple times in the middle of filming.
You find a nice angle but notice the legs or part of the stand is in your shot.
Height limits unless you want to stack on objects or put on a different tripod.
Other things to note:
I have a Galaxy S20 for size references. I can only put my phone vertical in the holder.
It gets the job done for small projects you would use your phone with anyway. I would recommend.

The individual joints in the legs allow for specific placements of my footage. I was hesitant at by at first because of the price but I’ve had no issue getting the specific angle I need for video footage. This tripod allows for vertical and horizontal photos and videos with the moveable top. Only issue I have is there is no counter balance on the bottom of the tripod making it top heavy when a phone or camera is installed. I have worked around this with welding the tripod between two rocks or placing heavy objects around the legs.

This is probably the best thing I’ve bought for content creation in the last year. I highly recommend it. The legs are pliable and allow you to wrap them around anything that is small enough in circumference to get a grip perfect for on the go content creation.

Great concept but too weak for my heavy cameras. Works with a phone but still tips depending on what angle you’re shooting. Also not much grip on the foam legs. Go with a Joby instead.

What a great tripod for the price. Saw some twice the price that really didn’t seem to offer much more than this. Perhaps they were made a little better? Not enough to justify the price difference. Good for smart phone or GoPro type devices. Nice if you use the continuity camera feature with your iPhone (use iPhone as webcam)

Package was very easy to use. And it even contains a device to remotely take a picture. I’ll be using it at a Family Reunion to get the whole family in the picture without anyone getting left out.

The phone mount grip is not strong. I mounted this on a scooter and it dropped my phone. The attachment for a gopro seem to be stronger.
