Game arrived shrink wrapped in great condition. The disc was secure as well.

I’ve never played the original, so theres never been a better opportunity to finally get to. So far the game is great. I really like the music, story, and the gameplay is very good coming from the psp. The graphics look very similar to 7 Remake, and are amazing.

I remember playing this on the PSP. This game really takes me back and glad it was updated for current consoles. Must play to get some back story on Zack.

Prequel to the original Final Fantasy 7 on the PS1 and remastered from the PSP FF7 Crisis Core. This remastered comes with updated combat mechanics, better graphics than its predecessor, the music/soundtrack is top notch.
Join Zack the 2nd Class Soldier on this fantastic adventure with it’s OG FF7 iconic characters such as Cloud, Aerith, Sephiroth.

I’ve been waiting to revisit this game. The PSP version was fantastic, and even though I knew how it would end, it was still … emotional. The way it played out, was crushing. For an hour straight I refused to let THAT fight end. I sustained forever out of sheer stubborness, and then gave-in and let the waterworks flow.
I haven’t beaten this yet, but my one beef with both this and FF7 remake is how they tinked with the Materia systems. Feels inferior in both compared to the originals.
I miss my imported JP Crisis Core PSP. I bought one for around 300$ brand new and sold it used for like 1200$ years later. Wasn’t worth, wish I kept it. Still have some neat Buster Sword keychains NIB still as a collector’s thing.

If you’ve played the original PSP game you know what you’re getting gameplay wise. Its nearly identical, just some minor changes. The graphics are updated from the PSP version, obviously, but still look like a early era PS4 game even on PS5. However, the voice acting in this version is ATROCIOUS. I have no idea why they didn’t just get the original voice actor for Zack back for this game, because the new guy did a terrible job. Its very jarring to hear this new voice after hearing the OG Zack voice in the original game who did a splendid job. Also, most of the emotional scenes are just devoid of emotion in this new voice. I remember how well done and emotional the dumbapples scene was right before the Wutai mission in Chapter 1, and it just fell flat in this version. The gameplay and story itself makes up for the voice acting, but barely.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised with this game. I bought it mainly because I had just purchased a PS5 and wanted a physical game; I’m also a fan of Final Fantasy games with 7 being in my top 3. For the most part I enjoy the old school jrpg turn-based combat and usually stray away from arpg type of combat. Final Fantasy Crisis Core was one of the few games where not only did I not mind the combat I actually love it! I have yet to finish the game but boy does it look amazing, the audio is great, and there’s so much to do and it’s all fun! Nothing has felt super grindy really or anything like that. If you’re a fan of the series I definitely recommend and if you’re just looking for a fun rpg to play I highly recommend it!

Great game! Got it for my partner to play since he’s a huge Final Fantasy fan. The graphics scale up nicely but it does still have a few lingering PSP-era holdovers. Overall great game though!
